Tim Decker Joins Junior Achievement of North Florida as Director of Development
Decker joins JANFL from St. Augustine Youth Services, where he served as Director of Development. Throughout his career, Decker has demonstrated exceptional skill in fundraising, community engagement, donor relations, and strategic planning — making him a valuable addition to the organization’s leadership team.
“We are delighted to welcome Tim to the team as we expand our programs and advance our vision for a JA Experiential Learning Center in Jacksonville,” said Shannon Italia, President of Junior Achievement of North Florida.
Prior to his role at St. Augustine Youth Services, Decker spent more than 20 years at daniel, Florida’s oldest child-serving agency, where he advanced from residential counselor to Director of Case Management. In that role, he managed services for approximately 700 at-risk children and families, and nearly doubled the department’s size while maintaining industry-leading staff retention. His leadership earned the organization multiple “Case Management Organization of the Year” awards and several pilot program expansions.
A graduate of the University of Florida with a Master of Business Administration and the University of North Florida with a Bachelor’s in Psychology, Decker is also a certified child welfare case manager. He has been recognized with numerous awards, including First Coast News’ “12 Who Care” for community service.
In his new role, Decker will lead JANFL’s fundraising strategies, cultivate partnerships, and engage donors to help sustain and expand programs that reach tens of thousands of students each year across Northeast Florida.
“I am honored to join Junior Achievement of North Florida at such an exciting time in the organization’s history,” said Decker. “I look forward to building on JANFL’s strong foundation and working with the community to empower more students with the skills they need for lifelong success.”
