Junior Achievement of North Florida Welcomes Priscilla Jones as Vice President of Development

Junior Achievement of North Florida (JA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Priscilla Jones as the organization's new Vice President of Development. Jones brings a wealth of experience from her distinguished career in the non-profit sector. With a passion for education and community development, she has dedicated her professional journey to making a positive impact on the lives of North Florida residents.

Her impressive background in the non-profit sector, coupled with her passion for our mission and her drive to achieve maximum impact make her a perfect fit for our organization,” said Shannon Italia, president of JA of North Florida. “We have ambitious goals and are in a season of organizational growth where Priscilla's leadership will be critical to support an increased capacity for mission delivery.

In her new position, Jones will be the driving force behind Junior Achievement of North Florida's fundraising initiatives. She will be responsible for the planning, development, and execution of a comprehensive fundraising strategy for JA. She will also work in concert with the President to execute a capital campaign to achieve the vision of bringing a JA Discovery Center to North Florida.

Jones' extensive experience in the non-profit sector with affiliations to the Women’s Giving Alliance, Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida, and Association of Fundraising Professionals, coupled with her dedication to educational excellence, positions her as a valuable addition to the leadership team at JA.

Prior to joining JA, Jones was Director of Development at Rethreaded where she was responsible for corporate and individual donor relations, event sponsorships, and organizational-level strategic planning. She worked on several special event committees; established donor portfolios and donor stewardship communications; supervised and coached staff to increase skills and results; improved internal processes for donation tracking and recognition; and implemented modernized donor and event softwares.

Jones earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with ESOL Endorsement from the University of North Florida. She is a highly motivated professional and personable team player with a passion for financial literacy. With over ten years of fundraising experience, she will help Junior Achievement of North Florida inspire and prepare young people to own their economic success, plan for their futures, and make smart academic and economic choices.
